Purdue Master Gardener Volunteer Application and Agreement

The Marion County Master Gardener Association is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote good gardening practices in cooperation with Purdue Extension-Marion County. Members of the association are Master Gardeners who serve as volunteers to help educate the public on gardening through educational programs and individual contacts. They also work with numerous organizations for community beautification.

It is the goal of the Master Gardener Association to increase members’ knowledge of sound gardening practices, provide information to the community on current and timely gardening methods and assist Marion County Master Gardeners in fulfilling their volunteer commitment.

Monthly meetings consist of announcements, shared experiences, progress reports on projects and opportunities to volunteer in the community. After a refreshment break, there is a speaker on a gardening topic of interest. This second hour counts towards the training requirement for Advanced Master Gardener certification. Members receive the monthly newsletter, The Greenery, and are included in the annual Membership Directory.

The meetings are held on the second Monday of each month from 9:15 AM until 11:30 AM at the Marion County Extension Building–Discovery Hall, Third Floor, Indiana State Fair Grounds. The association also has field trips to various places of interest several times a year.

Annual dues are $25.

Some systems do not save the filled-in information if it is done without downloading first.
